How much will my husband get paid while at basic training and then at tech school for the airforce reserves?

We have a house payment, car payment etc. and a young family to support during that time...I kind of have some idea of how much. But am not for sure..How much will my husband get paid while at basic training and then at tech school for the airforce reserves?
Not sure on his rank but here goes a try. Now he won't get paid for about 30-60 days so not sure how long his Tech School is so be prepared for no pay due for about 1-2 months.





Base Pay:


E1: $1399.50


E2: $1568.70


E3: $1629.70


These are all for under 2 years in service. Cause you didn't mention if he had any other prior military service.





BAH: depends on where you guys are at. And it will be based on with/dependents rate. And rank. Here is the link that you can check:

BAS: he won't recieve this because he will get a meal card





Family Separation Pay: will be $250 per month AFTER he has been gone more than 30 days.





This are your entitlements, then you have to take away any deductions from that such as:


-Federal Taxes


-State Taxes


-Social Security


-Any other FICA taxes


-SGLI


-Familiy SGLI


-Medical/Dental Insurance


-Any other Allotments that he gets taken out

Depends on how much college he has, if none or not a lot than he will make E1 pay on the link below

If he has quite a bit then he may get E2 or E3 pay





You do not get BAH or BAS while in basic, and unless you get a waiver and live off base for tech school you do not get it there either.
Hes probably an E1 or an E2


so he will get about $1400 a month in basic pay (not that much)


$250 a month in family separation if you're married


He wont get BAH until you guys move into an apartment or something

base pay will be based on his paygrade. BAH will be based on the address of where he enlisted from. expect at least 4-6 weeks before he gets paid the first time.





then tale out taxes and other allotments like SGLI or anything else he elects.
What is his rank E-1?





$1200-1400 for that plus BAH, whatever it is for the area.
