melindas husband jim was at a wedding. there was a man who wasnt right in the head. jim was left alone with him and he had a gun. an officer jim knew thought he was the other man and shot him. jim died of an embolism or clot. his spirit stayed with melinda and she wanted him to cross over. a man in town named sam had just died. jim saw his spirit go into he light. so jim stepped into sams body. jims spirit is in sams body. hes in sams body but everyone still sees him as jim. that may be the confusing part! now jim has remembered who he is again but now he lives in sams body. melinda and jim are together again and will now have a baby together as they always wanted. hope this clears it up for you! =DCan someone explain the whole Ghost Whisperer thing with Melinda's husband dying and then coming back to life?
Melinda's husband was shot and died in the hospital but he refused to pass on, He went into the body of a trauma ( Sam ) who we see when he looks in a mirror ( ala Quantum Leap who was also named Sam wierd) It took a while for her husband to break threw Sams memories and remember who he was. Now he knows who he is.
